Information Technology Services (ITS) consists of three operational departments (Communications & Computing Services, Information Services Infrastructure and User Support Services) and a centralized set of core functions and capabilities designated as the Office of the CIO.
Under the general direction of the Vice Provost/Chief Information Officer, the Office of the CIO (OCIO) supports the ITS mission by providing Financial Assurance, Policy/Program Assurance, Enterprise Technology and Information Security Assurance, Communications, Human Resource Management, and Administrative Coordination and Support.
Information Services Infrastructure (ISI) provides the software infrastructure for application and systems integration, identity management, and information management. This includes Cal Poly's enterprise portal, data warehouse and the associated tools for operational and decision support needs. In addition, ISI supports the university's central administrative and academic systems through application and database analysis, design, development, implementation and support.
Communications and Computing Services (CCS) plans, implements and manages the campus network and central computing resources to enhance and facilitate administration, instruction, learning and communication throughout the university community. CCS includes Administrative Computing Services, Central Systems Administration, CMS Support, Network Administration and Technical Services.
User Support Services (USS) -- USS Organizational Chart (pdf)
Provides assistance to faculty, staff and students to access and use information technologies to carry out their teaching, learning, management and support activities. Includes Computing Support Services, Media Distribution Services, PolyCard and Specialized Support Services, and Service Desk.
